LinkedIn and Twitter are teaming up, I don’t think this needs much explanation, but here goes anyways:

I think it’s a bad idea, and the article gives an example of that. Connect your LinkedIn-account to Twitter and you might get confronted with your Dweets (definition #3) Monday Morning at the office… And Bing??? WTF is Bing?? Let me Google that!

(CNN) — Kenyan artist Nicholas Sironka received a warm welcome to the United States when he first visited in 1999 — a reception he’s missed since.

“I came and it was joyful — people receive you with smiles at the airport. Today, it’s so tense,” said Sironka, a Masai tribe member who spent time in the U.S. as a Fulbright Scholar before the terrorist attacks in September 2001 prompted tightened security and entry requirements.

“It is good to be a superpower, and we wish you the best in everything you do to keep out bad people. But what about the good people? Should they be treated the same as the bad people?” said Sironka, who has returned to the U.S. more than a dozen times. “There is a courtesy that used to be there that needs to come back.”

This is what I experienced 2 years ago, entering Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Me: Good afternoon *laying passport and immigration form on desk*
Guy at desk: *looks at it for 15 seconds * What are you here for?
Me: I’m on vacation, going to meet some friends
Guy at desk: *checks something in computer* “What kind of friends? Have you seen them before?”
Me: No, friends I know from the internet
Guy at desk: “Male or female”
Me: Female of course!
Guy at desk: There’s many stamps in your passport. Are you here for the girls? How can you afford it?
Me: I have a full time job and yes I have been here before visiting friends.
Guy at desk: *checks computer* Oh, you have to go there *points at secondary screening room*
Me: Oh, why is that?
Guy: They will tell you there.

Of course at secondary screening there was no problem and the person there wished me a nice vacation, but it was “no cigarette for me” during the lay over and I almost missed my connecting flight! It’s not that they check well, that makes me feel safer, but that guys attitude!! And he’s not alone. Ever flew into Orlando, Florida? Don’t do it with kids!

As much as a geek I am, I don’t get the point with FaceBook. Why would I want to throw a pie on someones wall if it’s only a text that shows up everywhere?? But after watching this video, I get the idea!! Pretty useful!

When it comes to maps, Google has had nearly everything: great satellite imagery, huge coverage, and even some basic navigation features, but not what everyone that’s ever used a GPS device really wants: turn-by-turn navigation.

This changes today, as Google (Google) just released a beta version of Google Maps Navigation for Android (Android) 2.0. Here’s a quick overview of the features:

• Search in plain English – quickly search and navigate to places, businesses, landmarks
  Search by voice
• View of live traffic data over the Internet.
• Search along route – find locations near your current path
• Satellite view – you can view the same satellite imagery you’ve seen Google Maps (Google Maps), on your phone
• treet View – check out what the exact surroundings of a location look like
  Car dock mode – when you place certain devices in a car dock, a special mode activates that enables easier operation
